Hergert Numbers at Hoover Dam!

I made my second trip to Las Vegas this summer, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to spread the word about Hergert Numbers at Hoover Dam - especially since it was Independence Day. We got a tour of the power plant and inner workings of the dam. What an impressive feat from nearly a century ago!

A couple weeks ago, I showed up at Victoria Lake in South Beloit, IL to do some paddling with RVC Math professor Rob Clark and he was wearing his Hergert Numbers t-shirt! I believe this is the first HN photo on water.

Hergert Numbers Down Under!

Rock Valley College faculty member Elizabeth Meena has taken the Hergert Numbers movement to Australia.

I'm sure this koala was happy to finally have a term for potential inflection points.

I hope the woman in the background was scowling at the snake rather than the definition of Hergert Numbers on the back of Elizabeth's t-shirt.

New Hergert Numbers logo!

In honor of the new Metallica album release, the website http://metallica.alwaysdata.net/ would take any name or short phrase and create it in the classic Metallica style. I couldn't resist.

Hergert Numbers & Eagles!

The Hergert Numbers recently paid a visit to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha, Minnesota.

They had a few eagles that were being rehabbed after various accidents, but the location of the center on the Mississippi River also allowed us to view bald eagles soaring over the river just outside the building. And they covered all things eagles from their habitats and behaviors to their use as symbols of strength and courage. It's not a big place but you can learn a lot very quickly with just a brief visit.

Hergert Numbers at the Great Wall!

The Hergert Numbers shirt made its first appearance in Asia back in 2009 shortly after they were first created. But this is the first time we've seen a shot from the Great Wall of China and it comes from Jay Swanson.

This isn't the first time the Hergert Numbers have been at one of the Seven Wonders of the World. A few years back, another student took their shirt to the Taj Mahal. So, we've only got 5 more to go!
