Hergert Numbers & The Dukes of Hazzard!
A couple weeks ago when I was in Nashville, I had the opportunity to visit Cooter's Place. It's a Dukes of Hazzard museum owned by Ben Jones who played Cooter on the legendary show. Not only did I get to pose with cardboard cutouts of the Duke boys, but I was in the presence of The General Lee itself. OK, it was really just one of the many General Lee's that were used for the show. Still, it was pretty cool. For $5, I could've sat in the car for my picture, but then you wouldn't see my shirt as easily.
They had a massive collection of Dukes memorabilia on display. Everything from Daisy Duke's famous short shorts to Dukes of Hazzard calculators! A classic place to "spread the word" in the heart of the south.

Hergert Numbers Hit The Grand Ole Opry!
With the 2014 AMATYC Conference being held at the Opryland Resort in Nashville, TN, it was the perfect opportunity to take the Hergert Numbers movement to the heart of country-western music - The Grand Ole Opry. To be precise, these photos are in front of The Grand Ole Opry House where The Grand Ole Opry show is held weekly. Either way, this giant guitar brought about an irresistible photo opportunity.
The conference also gave me several chances to tell the story of Hergert Numbers and gain a few new converts to the terminology. Thanks to all who politely listened while I explained what in the world my t-shirt meant! See you next year at AMATYC 2015 in New Orleans!!

Hergert Numbers at Kansas State University!
Hergert Numbers invaded the heart of the midwest this weekend as Dr. Paul McCombs showed his shirt off at his alma mater - Kansas State University. Here we see Paul before the Wildcats took down their rival Texas Longhorns 23-0 at the KSU Homecoming game. The victory was number 500 in K-State history!
A couple days later, Dr. McCombs gave a talk to a group of K-State math students about what it's like to teach at a community college. As always, special thanks to Paul for helping to spread the word!

Hergert Numbers at Niagara Falls!
Dr. Paul McCombs and his family took a road trip to upstate New York in August and stopped off at Niagara Falls. He nearly forgot to bring his shirt but his wife had already packed it for him. Fortunately, Dr. McCombs did not attempt to go over the falls in a barrel wearing his Hergert Numbers t-shirt.

ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
Today I took the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. You can watch the video here. You'll see that among those I challenged are the owners of Hergert Numbers t-shirts. I'm starting with a $50 donation to support ALS research and I will add $5 to my donation for every person who does their Ice Bucket Challenge wearing their HN shirt.
Since there are over 100 shirts out there, I hope that we can raise some serious cash here. Or you could just go to the ALS Association and make your own donation.
So, this time let's spread the word about this terrible disease and see how much money we can raise for ALS research.
